Travel Diary: 2 days in Thessaloniki

This post is also available in: Ελληνικα (Greek)

Back in mid-October I traveled to my beloved city of Thessaloniki for just a couple of days. This was my third visit and it’s starting to feel like my second home. I arrived in the afternoon and went straight for a rejuvenating massage at the Massage.Me spa. It’s part of the Colors Urban Hotel where I was staying.

The next day was quite busy as I had to go to an evening press event, do a photoshoot in the afternoon and of course some shopping and exploring in the morning. So at the end of the day I was pretty tired! As my return flight was scheduled in the afternoon of the the third day, I took the opportunity to snap some pics of the famous and picturesque Ladadika district. Very instagram friendly place!

Did I mention I love taking photos of Ladadika? 😉

My stay at Colors Urban Hotel and the amazing cocktails of The Garden Bar (read more in my review post) were one of the highlights of my trip. The other two were of course the local food and shopping! I also got to meet my friend Markella of Do You Speak Gossip , and we had a great time together. My only regret is that there were more friends to meet, but not enough time unfortunately.

Choureal profiteroles

The simply unbelievable (and customizable to taste) profiteroles of Choureal. I would eat one of these beauties every day!

So, what did we learn from this trip? Always diet BEFORE you travel to Thessaloniki because you’re sure going to gain weight with all that gorgeous food! 😉

Have you been to Thessaloniki? What are your favourite memories of the city?
